Description | Survey of theater including its history, dramatic works, stage techniques, production procedures and relation to other art forms. Participation in productions may be required. Emphasis on observation and appreciation of various types and styles of plays, knowledge of the functions of the personnel and other elements of theatre production including its history, dramatic works, stage techniques, production procedures and its relation to the fine arts. | ||||||||

FERPA: Due to FERPA laws which protect your own privacy, I will not discuss your grades over the phone or by email. If you want to discuss your grades, we must talk in person before or after class. Late Work: A written assignment turned in late will be penalized one complete letter grade for each class day it is late, meaning if you earned a “B” on an assignment, and it is one day late, you will receive a “C” on that assignment. I will not accept late work via Email. |

Attendance Policy | Since timelines and presence are crucial to excellence in the performing arts, the LSCPA Drama Program has adopted the following attendance policy: Any Unexcused Tardies and Absences WILL affect your grades. The “Attendance” tool in Blackboard will be used calculate a portion of your Participation grade for this course. As already mentioned, prompt attendance is necessary in theatre. If you are not present at the start of class, you will be marked ABSENT for the day. The same goes for leaving class early: you will be considered absent. It is your job to let the professor know. | ||||||||
